AC Milan midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng has sent a late goodwill message to the Black Stars confident that they will beat Cape Verde in Saturday's Africa Cup of Nations match.

The Black Stars take on the Blue Sharks in the quarter-finals of the match in the South African city of Port Elizabeth.

Even though he prematurely retired from the Black Stars just over one year ago the Germany-born star has been following the Ghana national team with keen interest.

The Italy-based enforcer says he is confident Ghana will beat the debutantes to reach the last four of Africa's flagship football tournament.

"I wish Ghana all the best today. Pretty sure they gonna win!!," Boateng tweeted.

Boateng sent a congratulatory message to the Black Stars when they defeated Mali in their second Group B match at the tournament.

His message was well received by the Black Stars and coach Kwesi Appiah.
