Kevin-Prince Boateng scored his first goal of the year in Schalke’s 3-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in a friendly played at the Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

Ghana midfielder leveled the scoring to make it 2-2 on 56 minutes after Joselu had given their Bundesliga rivals the lead ten minutes earlier.

Boateng, who has been under special treatment to correct a troublesome knee injury, is stepping up his recovery for the second half of the season and UEFA Champions League.

Frankfurt opened the scoring in the 18th minute through Jan Rosenthal but Jefferson Farfan equalized on the 45th minute mark.

Farfan grabbed the match winner on 65th minute to give the Royal Blues another win in the Middle East.
