German-born Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng has revealed the Black Stars will etch their names in the history books at this yearââ¬â¢s FIFA World Cup finals.
He is looking forward to Ghana progressing into the medal zone for the first time by an African representative.
The 27-year-old was instrumental in Ghanaââ¬â¢s quarter-final feat at the last World Cup finals in South Africa and he is confident they can go far.
ââ¬ÅWe are not going to the World Cup to make up the numbers,â⬠the Schalke 04 icon said
ââ¬ÅWe are looking forward to making history and upsetting the record books when we arrive in Brazil.ââ¬
Boateng has ten caps with two goals for the Black Stars, and was among the ten players nominated for African Footballer of the Year in 2010 and 2011.
He will be making his second bow at the World Cup stage come this June after opting to play for Ghana instead of the country of his birth Germany.
