Kevin-Prince Boateng's latest injury has complicated matters for Schalke 04 with their injury list soaring.

Boateng was hit in the knee by an Augsburg defender during their 4-1 over the newly-promoted side at the Veltins Arena on Saturday.

While Ghanaians smell something fishy over the 26-year-old's latest injury, Jens Keller, the Schalke boss is already worried about the unavailability of the former AC Milan midfielder for his domestic and European campaigns.

Effectively, Boateng is ruled out for close to three weeks and his recovery must be fast-tracked if he is to be available for their big Uefa Champions League clash against Chelsea.

Already Dutch goal-machine Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Greece's Kyriakos Papadopoulos  are all out with various injuries.

Since joining the Royal Blues, Boateng has been hugely involving in their campaigns - both domestic and European, scoring four goals in seven games (all competitions).
