Kevin-Prince Boateng’s latest injury worries Schalke

By Akyereko Frimpong Manson

Kevin-Prince Boateng’s latest injury has complicated matters for Schalke 04 with their injury list soaring.

Boateng was hit in the knee by an Augsburg defender during their 4-1 over the newly-promoted side at the Veltins Arena on Saturday.

While Ghanaians smell something fishy over the 26-year-old’s latest injury, Jens Keller, the Schalke boss is already worried about the unavailability of the former AC Milan midfielder for his domestic and European campaigns.

Effectively, Boateng is ruled out for close to three weeks and his recovery must be fast-tracked if he is to be available for their big Uefa Champions League clash against Chelsea.

Already Dutch goal-machine Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Greece’s Kyriakos Papadopoulos  are all out with various injuries.

Since joining the Royal Blues, Boateng has been hugely involving in their campaigns – both domestic and European, scoring four goals in seven games (all competitions).

“Woto adu bonee a, ebi ka w’ano”. He is out for 3 weeks so he doesn’t play for Ghana. Fine, so is he not going to be able to play for Schalk in the Champions league. We shall all see. An injured player who couldn’t play for Ghana but suddenly fit enough to play for Schalk? Like he did to us against Zambia? We are watching closely. They take us for fools. Someone should tell them; If they deprive Ghana from cutting nine, they’ll never cut ten.

  2. AKWESI APPIAH,AKWESI NYANTAKYI U WILL BE THE MOST USELESS AND UNTRAIN BEINGS ON EARTH IF U CALL KEVIN INTO BLACK STARS.I COULD REMEMBER IMMEDIATELY AFTER LAST FOUR YEAR’S WORLD CUP.THE GFA WROTE TO KEVIN ON SEVERAL OCCATIONS AND HE TURNED DOWN THEIR REQUEST .NOW THE WORLD CUP IS NEAR AND HE IS COMING AGAIN.AFTER WHICH HE WILL SURELY RUN AWAY.I WANT EVERY GHANAIAN TO TAKE NOTE OF THIS HIS CLUB OFFICIALS ARE SAYING KEVIN IS INJURED FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS WHICH IS 2IDAYS,STARTING FORM THE DAY HE WAS SCANED WHICH WAS ON MONDAY.I BET U SHALKEO4 NEXT UEAFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GAME IS I6DAYS AWAY FROM THE DAY HE WAS SCANED AND TRUST ME KEVIN IS GOING TO PLAY THAT MATCH, ATLEAST HE COME OFF FROM THE BENCH.THEN AKWESI APPIAH,AKWESI NYANTAKYI AND EVERY SERIOUS GHANAIAN WHO WILL READ THIS WILL REALISE THAT IT IS TRUE THE PRODIGAL SON IS NOT BACK 4 REAL.BUT LET GHANAIANS MAKE HIM UNDERSTAND THAT WE AS A PEOPLE ARE WISER THAN HIM AS AN INIDIVIDUAL.THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK TIME TO READ THIS.GHANA WE BEAT EGYPT 3_1 IN KUMASI.

  3. phillbanger says:

TAKASE I AGREE WITH U HUNDRED PERCENT.I STILL DNT KNO WHY THE GFA IS STILL CHASIN THIS IDIOT.DO U THINK EUROPEANS WILL SWEART OVER A PLAYER LIKE THIS.ITS LIKE WE HAV NO CONFIDENCE IN OUR PLAYERS.IT HURTS ME SOO MUCH THAT THE STUPID GFA STOOD SOO LOW TO INVITE THIS IDIOT BACK

  4. kuukuphilly says:

I feel like crying reading these comments from my fellow ghanains.we can only blame our fa fr all these nonsense.who the fuck this guy think he is my people? does he thinks we lacking players that’s why hes toying with us..i will personally curse this fa if this guy wears the red gold and green again, bull shit.

  5. b4world says:

he will play 4 his german team come next week saturday,i will bet anyone who doubt it £100 pound,
this isn’t the first, second or third time, this guy has done this,he did this with ghana previous coach plavi was incharge.
since he is always injured,he can not be reliabled up on for world cup duties,so he is not needed in the ghana squad,

  6. Nonesense says:

Omg wotz wrong with gh fa? Abeyie iz willing to play for Ghana and they are not calling him, rather wasting time on thiz Idiot.

  7. EA1us says:

Smart people! I’m with you Kuukuphilly, b4world, phillbanger, takase majid Ali Sulley, and askantwi…. that dutch hillbilly can’t fool non of us. b4world bro bet £1,000 cos i know you’ll win it. Lol…..i never thought in a million years a player could “dis” the MIGHTY GHANA like that. When did the heavens FREEZED? Wake up A. Appiah! GHANA FOR EVER

  8. Speed says:

Most Ghanaians will be glad if the final 23 man squad is out for the world cup and KPB is not included(After we qualify). I know for sure that we have too many Quality players for the job. KPB was our Key player 3 yrs ago. He is good no doubt but we managed without him n now the team has more good players in the squad. I wish him a speedy recovery.

  9. kofito says:

Ghanaians why the plenty comments? The man is truelly injured n u expect him 2 play unfit? He will surely get well n play 4 BS in Cairo the second leg. Besides Ghana doesn’t lack experienced players atall. We have the muntari,k asamoah.agyemang bedu, ayew, atsu, adomah, essien etc who are all equally quality players in the mood to fill in any void in the team so have confidence in them n leave dat kevin to function. BS where there b4 he came. Go to brazil go bs with vim.

  10. Papa Nkrumah says:

@Takase, I beg you bro. Pls don’t give Egypt the away goal. For the Kevin issue, I honestly feel he is frustratingly unlucky. I think the issue we have with him now borders on lack of trust because of precedence. It will be wise for us to have our own doctors examine him so we know for sure how to handle him in future. For now, we have all the materials to dispatch off Egypt

  11. PAPA I KNOW THAT BUT GHANA SURELY WILL QUALIFY BUT EGYPT CAN’T PLAY THIS GAME WITHOUT SCORING.I AM A FULL GHANAIAN BUT IN COMPETITIVE THEY GAMES LIKE THIS BOTH TEAMS HOPEFULL WILL SCORE.BUT SURE GHANA WILL BE AHEARD OF EGYPT IN ALL LEGS.GO GHANA! GO BLACK STARS.!
