AC Milan star Kevin-Prince Boateng has asked the Rossoneris to quickly end the celebration of their Uefa Champion League win over Barcelona and focus on Sunday’s big Milan derby.

Boateng who was voted most valuable player of the match, scored the opening goal for Milan in the 57th minute with a controversial finish before his international team-mate Sulley Muntari sealed an unfancied 2-0 win for the home side.

Milan must up the ante in their quest to narrow the points gap between them and leaders Juventus as they clash with big rivals Inter Milan at the San Siro.

Boateng will be key for Massimiliano Allegri’s men on Sunday and he wants his team-mates to end their celebration and quickly turn their attention to the crucial game on Sunday.

“We’ve done it, I am proud of the performance of the team. now we focus on Sunday’s derby,” the 24-year-old midfielder said.

Boateng will be hoping to continue his impressive performance with yet another goal for Milan against their city rivals.
