Suspended Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng was in action for an out-of-sort Schalke who got humiliated 4-1 at Borussia Monchengladbach in the German Bundesliga on Saturday.

The 27-year-old was named in midfield and he lasted the entire duration of the game at the Stadion im BORUSSIA-PARK but failed to make any real impact in the game.

The Royal Blues are still waiting for their first win of the season.

Goals from Andre Hahn (2), Max Kruse and Raffael led the hosts to victory, with Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting’s penalty nothing more than a consolation goal in the end.

There is huge pressure piling on Schalke boss Jens Keller following his side's abysmal start to the season.

Keller questioned Boateng's commitment and declining performance and dropped him for a couple of games before recalling him into his first team squad.
