AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng kicked ball for the first time on Thursday and managed to finish the session without problems, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Ghana international trained with the team at the external pitches at Milanelo, raising hopes he could be available for selection in the weekend's big game at Juventus.

The former Tottenham enforcer has not played for the Italian giants since he ruptured his ribs in the sides 2-2 draw with Barcelona at the Camp Nou on 13 September.

Manager Allegri who has a plethora of players in the treatment room, including Brazilian forwards Robinho and Alexandre wants to be cautious with throwing the 24-year-old into the crucial game.

"I'll have to properly evaluate the condition of Boateng, who is the only one who could recover in time," he said.

"We are still early in the season, but we must try to catch up with Juventus or at least maintain the same distance."

Boateng has been left out of Ghana's squad for next month's double header against Sudan and Nigeria.
