Kevin Boateng plays in Schalke friendly defeat to FC Koln

Black Stars midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng was in action for Schalke 04 in their 2-1 friendly loss to fellow German side FC Koln on Saturday evening. 

The 26-year-old started the game for the Royal Blues but his Ghanaian compatriot Anthony Annan had to start from the bench and did not get to play in the game.

Boateng assisted Jefferson Farfan for Schalke's consolation goal in the 43rd minute at the RheinEnergieStadion.

Schalke will play their last mid-season warm-up friendly against German lower-tier side Rot-Weiß Oberhausen on Sunday afternoon.
