Ghana star Kevin-Prince Boateng says he is looking forward to a showdown with Schalke 04 team-mate Jermaine Jones who will play for the United States at the 2014 World Cup.

Boateng is set to play against the Stripes for the second time at the World Cup after Ghana were drawn against the United States, Germany and Portugal in Group G at Costa Do Sauipe on Friday.

The former AC Milan star has been expressing his delight about draw with a potential clash with his half-brother Jerome Boateng who could play for the Germans.

But he says he is looking forward to playing against his Schalke team-mate Jermaine Jones who could play for the United States in Ghana's Group opener at Natal.

"And also against my team-mate Jermaine Jones [of the USA] - he's simply great," he told Sport Bild.

Boateng scored the opening goal for Ghana in the 2010 World Cup in a game Ghana won at extra-time with Asamoah Gyan's famous finish.
