AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng believes his leadership qualities will prove crucial to the side this season.
Milan have played catch-ups to Juventus for the past two seasons and are determined to reclaim the title from the Old Ladies.
The Ghanaian international whose future was a matter of intense conjecture looks set to see out his contract and will be deeply involved for the Rossoneri this term.
The 25-year-old regarded as one of the key pillars in the locker room expects some of the old hands to propel the team to success.
"I am a player who needs responsibility on and off the fieldà .à Being one of the leaders of the teamà is something that is close to my heart and I think I canà take on this role without any problems,â⬠Boateng said
ââ¬ÅIn the current squad there are not many players who have spent so much time at Milan.
ââ¬ÅIt is also why they are considered as one of theà leaders of the locker room.
ââ¬ÅTogether with others like Cristian Abbiati, Riccardo Montolivo or Nigel De Jong let's putà our expertise to the teamà in order to help a group that has within it many young people. "
Boateng will be key to Milan title ambitions this season.
