Kenpong Travel and Tour (KT&T) have already secured 720 rooms for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow following fruitful discussions between Chief Executive Kennedy Agyepong and the Local Organizing Committee in Scotland.

The Chief Executive Officer of the wholly-Ghanaian owned travel agency Kenedy Agyepong has just returned from Scotland where he has struck partnership agreements with the Local organizing Committee.

KT&T who are also offering exclusive packages for Ghanaian soccer fans for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil are now making frantic arrangements to offer unique travel packages for sports fans for the Commonwealth Games that commences in July.

The travel agency aim to airlift fans to Glasgow, offer them comfortable accommodation to ensure a unique travel experience.

Chief Executive Officer of Kenpong Travel and Tours with holdings in Cote d’Ivoire and Tanzania Kennedy Agyepong revealed plans for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in a meeting with the media on Friday.

“We had a fruitful deliberations [with the LOC] regarding accommodation. All is set and fans should have no qualms and fears. We are on course,” he revealed.

“I have very competent and experienced staff who are working around the clock to ensure that soccer fans who will be travelling with are comfortable.

“While I was in Glasgow, some members of my team were also in Brazil to firm up all arrangements for the 2014 World Cup.

“I met with the Ghana High Commissioner in Glasgow Dr Charles Ayiku, who has  promised to accord us all the courtesies we deserve.”

Kenpong popularly known as ‘Cappuccino’ also revealed plans to have fans witness the lined up friendlies of the Black Stars ahead of their third World Cup appearance in Brazil.

“We are putting pieces together to roll out our plans and programs for the Glasgow Games this week,” he added.

“Plans are far advanced to airlift soccer fans for all the three Black Stars international friendlies against Montenegro on March 5,  and subsequently Holland  and Honduras.”

KT&T will also offer their services for Ghanaian soccer fans for the World U17 and U20 women’s World Cups in Costa Rica and Canada respectively.

The Commonwealth Games will feature 17 sports  in eleven days of competition with 261 medal events on Show. 4,500 athletes will take part in the multi-sports event involving 71 teams of athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations.
