Karikari grabs win for AIK Stockholm in Sweden

Ghana youth striker Kwame Amponsah-Karikari scored for the third week in a row as his solitary strike earned a 1-0 win for AIK Stockholm over GAIS in the Swedish top-flight.

The former Ghana Under-20 striker headed home eight minutes from time to claim the points for AIK.

Karikari, 20, has been in fine scoring form for the Gnagets since returning from a loan spell at second-tier side Degerfors early August.

AIK were chasing their tenth win of the campaign and had to overcome a resolute GAIS side at the Nya Gamla Ullevi.

Just as the game appeared to be heading for a 0-0 draw game, Karikari eluded the GAIS defence to head a Martin Kayongo-Mutumba cross past the keeper.

He has taken his season tally to nine.

Compatriot Ibrahim Moro was an unused substitute for AIK.
