Jordan Ayew scores consolation for Marseille

Ghana attacker Jordan Ayew scored a consolation goal for Olympique Marseille who suffered a 3-1 shipwreck at struggling Sochaux in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday.

The 21-year-old narrowed the deficit for Elie Baup's men in the 55th mark after Sloan Privat, Cédric Bakambu and Jeremy Morel had all scored to give Sochaux a 3-0 lead.

Jordan rocketed a powerful driver from the edge of the box and Sochaux goalkeeper Simon Pouplin failed to stop.

Andre Ayew returned from injury to play full time for Les Olympians.

But winger Ishmael Yartey sat on the Sochaux bench due to injury.
