Ghana striker Jordan Ayew has regretted Olympique Marseille's failure to defeat German side Borussia Mönchengladbach in their Uefa Europa League tie on Thursday.

The Ligue 1 giants threw away a 2-1 lead in stoppage-time to share the spoils in a 2-2 draw at the Stade Velodrome in a Group C contest.

Jordan Ayew steered Marseille into the lead after tearing apart the Germans defence in the 67th minute.

The 21-year-old says Elie Baup's side should have taken advantage of their dominance in the game.

"We clearly dominated the game from beginning to end and we all share the regret that we couldn't win the game," he told OM.net.

The Black Stars attacker believes his hard work is training is gradually paying off.

"Personally I feel I'm being rewarded for my work and I will try to give my best always," he added.
