Ghana striker Jordan Ayew has revealed he was fast losing his motivation to even train while at Olympique Marseille.

The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Sochaux where he appears to be at peace with himself again.

Jordan’s had to move to French Ligue 1 strugglers due to his increasing bit part role at the Stade Velodrome.

And even though he is yet to score a goal for Sochaux, the Ghana international reveals he has regained his motivation for football – something he confesses was difficult to come by during his time at Marseille.

"In Marseille, I woke up in the morning and I do not necessarily have the motivation to train, fortunately there were people like my brother to support me,” he revealed.

“It was time to go to smile again. Here, I work two or three times because I feel good.”

Ayew has started every Ligue 1 game since joining Sochaux on loan in January.

Les Lioncceaux remain deeply involved in the relegation dog fight in Ligue 1.
