Ghana striker Jordan Ayew was shortlisted for Sochaux’s Player of the Month for January.

However, the 22-year-old missed out on the award to Zambia defender Stopilla Sunzu.

Ayew finished in third place behind Frenchman Sebastien Corchia in the three-man race.

A statement on Sochaux’s website read: “With 26.2 per cent of the votes, he is slightly ahead of Sebastien Corchia on 23.7 per cent, while Ghanaian striker Jordan Ayew completes the top three with 13.4 per cent of the votes. The Zambian has played in all FC Sochaux games since he joined the club during the winter transfer window.”

Ayew is on loan from Marseille and has made five appearances in the Ligue since joining this January.

It might be quite too late boy. If only you listened to Baup earlier and stop your childish behaviours and learnt like your brothe did in Lorient and Arles Avignon and now, Warris is having 2 goal and as many assists and you are yet to score or give an assist. Leaving you, Boakye Yiadom and a may be suprise emerging force to battle it out. And if Assifuah starts boiling or Yiadom should hit 9 for Elche before May then Akwasi Appiah has no choice

Those Player of the month propaganda would not work. Your father and coach Renard trying hard for your inclusion into the world cup squad. Renard and Sochaux can choose you 5 times player of the month, but unless you start performing for everyone to see, it’s almost already too late.
