Ghana striker Jordan Ayew insists he has no regrets for leaving Olympique Marseille.

The 22-year-old left the Stade Velodrome after five years due to lack of playing opportunities and respect.

Marseille have catapulted into a formidable side since his departure but the former Sochaux loanee insists he no regrets for ditching the side.

"I believe in fate, the people believed that my career stalled somewhat, but not me,” he told Canal +.

“I believe in my star and I will continue to work, only God knows what I can do.

“I think I've done my part in Marseille. I learned a lot, the time had come for me to leave.”

Ayew has scored once in seven appearances for Lorient.
