Jordan Ayew has arrived in France to join Olympique Marseille’s pre-season training.

The 20-year-old striker was granted an extended stay on holidays in Ghana after featuring for the Black Stars at the Nations Cup earlier this year.

He left Ghana on Wednesday night and is expected to join his colleagues in training by Monday where he will be meeting newly appointed coach Elie Baup.

Baup replaced Didier Deschamps who resigned at the end of a very disappointing campaign last term where Marseille finished 10th to take over the France national team which was made vacant following the resignation of Laurent Blanc after Euro 2012.

It is however still unclear whether Ayew will remain with the French giants after several reports have linked him with a move away from the Stade Velodrome.

His meeting with Baup on Monday is however expected to shed more light on his future at the club.

The son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele has seen his stock rising after impressing with the Black Stars during the Nations Cup in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

He again was again very impressive for Ghana in the opening 2014 World Cup qualifiers where he scored a brace in Ghana’s 7-0 demolition of Lesotho last month.
