Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah saw full time action as Evian TG slumped to a shocking home defeat to Nantes in the French Ligue 1 game played on Saturday.

The Roses came into the game as overwhelming favourites having won their last three games with the visitors winning just once in the same number of games.

Evian however failed to let their recent form tell as they fell to a surprise 2-0 defeat before their home fans.

Jordan Veretout shot Nantes in the lead from a 42nd minute spot kick before Yacine Bammou wrapped up the priceless maximum points 15 minutes from time.

Evian lacked ideas as to how to deal with their swift visitors to ultimately slump to their 7th defeat of the season which now sees them fall back into the drop zone in Ligue 1.
