Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah scored his first goal in the French top-flight for Evian TG in their 1-1 home stalemate with Stade Reims in the Ligue 1 on Saturday evening.

The powerful center-back powered the host into a 1-0 lead in the 75th minute at the Parc des Sports but Evian could not protect the lead as Togolese attacker Floyd Ayité grabbed a stoppage-time consolation to spare the blushes of the visitors.

It was the defender’s first ever goal for Evian since joining them two seasons ago from Granada.

The 23-year-old returned from injury recently and has rediscovered his form as he commands first team place at Evian.

chale true say, it seems GSN has gotten some proper sports writers. these days, the articles i read on here are mostly spelling error free and have the authors name attached to them. keep it up.

      • Assemblyman says:

Sometimes reporters from GSN do copy and paste from BBC,CNN,ESPN and sometimes goal.com. hahaha Nonetheless, they do well with their own reports too.But these days the Fatau Dauda sort of reports are too much.I guess they should watch that one out..Anything aside that,I guess has been fine..
