John Pantsil to be SuperSport analyst for CHAN final

John Pantsil will be on SuperSport as an analyst for Saturday’s CHAN final between Ghana and Libya.

Defender John Pantsil has been contracted by South-Africa-based Pay TV channel SuperSport as a pundit for Saturday’s CHAN final between his native Ghana and Libya.

The experienced international, who plays for Cape Town’s Santos, has been occasionally appearing on SuperSport since joining the National First Division side.

Although the final will be played at his base, Pantsil will have to enjoy the action from the studio in Randburg.

“It’s sad I cannot be in the stadium to watch them play and cheer them on, because I will be in the studio to discuss the game with Super Sports, but I know they can do well and win the cup for Ghana, Pantsil said.

“I am going there today (Thursday) to talk to them, motivate them and share my experience with them, is not easy to get to where they have and we are all proud of what they have done for our nation Ghana.”

Pantsil plans to visit the team at their hotel on Friday to motivate the players to win the CHAN.

Ghana are chasing a first title since winning the 1982 Africa Cup of Nations.
