John Pantsil kept his promise to his birthday kids by helping Hapoel Tel Aviv secure a famous win over Maccabi on Sunday.

The Ghana international played the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 win at the Bloomfield Stadium.

Pantsil had earlier promised his kids; Florencial, Ryanna and John Jnr who were celebrating their birthdays on the 9th, 10th and 11th November respectively of a win amongst other surprises.

The 31-year-old missed the big birthday bash at his Trasaco residence due to his club commitments.

The proud father however made amends by putting in a solid display to get the all important win for Hapoel.

An 88th minute strike from the spot by Omer Damari was well protected to secure Hapoel's sixth win of the season.

The win now sees Hapoel gain grounds on leaders and rivals Maccabi who still occupy the top spot in the Israeli top flight.
