Ghana defender John Paintsil has wished the Black Stars well ahead of their crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan.
The Black Stars need a win to remain in close contention for the sole progressive ticket from Group D when they host the Nile Crocodiles at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday.
And the Hapoel Tel Aviv right-back who has just returned to training with his club after recovering from a hamstring injury is willing the team to win in order to draw closer to a third straight World Cup qualification.
“My Prayers are with you all the Black Stars of Ghana…. A game that will decide our chances of making it to Brazil 2014 World Cup,” Paintsil posted on his Facebook page.
Ghana currently trail Zambia by three points – making a win this weekend over Sudan even more imperative as the Black Stars also look to regain some lost love from the Ghanaian fans following the disappointment at the 2013 Nations Cup.
