Ghana international defender John Boye has revealed he has no intention of leaving French side Stade Rennes until after the end of the 2014 World Cup.

The 26-year-old former Heart of Lions man wants to use Brazil to raise his profile before considering quitting Rennes.

"I'll think about moving after the 2014 World Cup but now I want to remain here and keep my focus," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

French Ligue pair Olympique Lyon and Olympique Marseille are both reportedly interested in the center-back while a couple of English Premier League sides including Liverpool have been mentioned in the past.

Rennes were ready to cash in on the defender to fund their January transfer but with the Ghana international expressing his interest to remain at the Route de la Lorient, Les Rogues et Noirs have no option than to allow the defender to stay until 2014.
