Defender John Boye says Stade Rennes will push for an Europa League finish despite their precarious situation on the French Lique 1 table.

The Red and Blacks are 15th on the table after 19 matches and are firmly out of the race for the championship title.

They lost 2-1 at Sochaux in their last encounter in December last year.

However manager Philippe Montanier’s men will be back in the midst on Saturday when they host Nice and the Ghanaian international has charged his teammates to fight till the end.

“It’s a pretty difficult situation but we must fight till the end,” Boye said

“We cannot give up at all. There are still a number of matches to play and I believe if we put our minds to it, we can at least finish 5th on the table.

“We want to play in Europe next season and the only way out is to finish up there.”
