Ghana defender John Boye has urged his team-mates to keep their eyes on the prize of qualifying for the World Cup in 2014.

Coach Kwesi Appiah’s men face  Sudan in a must-win game at the Baba Yara stadium on Sunday.

The Rennes centre-back who touched base on Monday night is thinking ahead and insisting every member of the squad must gear their performances towards qualifying to the global showpiece.

“Nothing will be acceptable except us winning this match,” Boye said

“It’s an important game for us and so we must put our shoulders to the wheel to ensure we qualify to the World Cup.

“Every Ghanaian wants to see us in Brazil and so we must do everything possible not to disappoint them.”

The Black Stars sit second in their group three points behind Zambia, in a format that sees only the top team qualify to the play-offs.
