Ghana defender John Boye says he is devastated by the latest injury setback that has ruled him out of next month’s double-decker against Sudan and Nigeria.
The 24-year-old will be in the treatment room for the next six weeks after suffering a muscle tear in his left thigh.
He picked up the problem after 21 minutes during Sunday’s 1-1 home draw against Saint-Etienne.
“I am very disappointed. I feel very bad because we have a lot of big matches ahead of us. I wanted to play those matches,” Boye said.
”But you know it’s like that because it part of the game.
“Right now I’m just here, going through my treatment and hoping to recover soon and be with the team again,” he added.
Boye has played been a starter in Rennes’ last six matches in all competitions.
who do we have left on the defence line we have a crucial game against sudan.and a friendly against nigeria the nigerians have a great strike force so we need the best.
Nice 6 packs,Boye has been one of our best performers so far in Europe this season. He is surely a candidate for the CB position in the B/S,i wish him a speedy recovery.
