Ghana defender Jeffrey Schlupp netted a scrappy late winner to earn Leicester a dramatic 2-1 win at Tottenham in the FA Cup fourth round.

Leicester began brightly but were behind after Andros Townsend converted his second penalty in a week.

Roberto Soldado was felled in the box, and the England winger made no mistake, firing past Foxes debutant Mark Schwarzer.

But as Spurs looked to be heading for the fifth round, Leonardo Ulloa turned the ball home to level proceedings with only six minutes left.

And it got even better for the Premier League strugglers, with Schlupp capitalising on a mistake from Tottenham 'keeper Michel Vorm to grab a incredible late winner, and send the Foxes through to the fifth round.

Schlupp has been at the centre of the controversy between his club and the Ghana Football Association over his fitness level.

The versatile player suffered a knee injury on New Year's Day and was scheduled to spend ten days in the treatment and that led to his exclusion from the Africa Cup of Nations squad.

But Schlupp made a quicker return to action and that led to questions being asked about the genuineness of his injury report by his club.
