Italian-born Ghanaian starlet Francis Boateng eager to switch his nationality to represent Ghana at youth level.
Boateng, 17, started his career at Sarnico – an Italian lower-tier side and moved to giants Inter Milan in 2010 together with Isaac Donkor.
The young midfield talent has recently joined the Primavera side of Hellas Verona to gain more playing time in the Italian Reserves league.
While away from the Istitute D’Interlo the young Boateng is keeping an eye on his international ambitions and wants to have a spell with the Ghanaian youth side.
“I want to play for the Ghana Under-20, though I have not visited Ghana before I feel Ghanaian and wants to play for the country,” he told Goal Ghana’s Edmund Okai Gyimah.
“I am very fine with the loan deal and I want to do my best this year for my new team Hellas Verona. I am relishing a Ghana Black Satellites call-up. I will answer Ghana call anytime.”
Boateng is one of the many Ghanaian young talents who have passed through the youth ranks at Inter Milan and might remain at Hellas Verona on co-ownership basis.
