Istanbul FC pip Great Olympics in Ghana's big second-tier league clash
Istanbul managed 1-0 win over Great Olympics

Istanbul posted an important 1-0 win over Great Olympics in Ghana’s biggest game in the second-tier league on Sunday.

Ghana Under-20 striker Daniel Adade scored a superb goal in the 40th minute to hand the home side the maximum points in a hugely attended game at Akyem Techiman.

Istanbul, smarting from their 1-1 draw at D’international last week, enjoyed the chunk of possession with some swash-buckling inter-positional passes in front of their home crowd.

Adade pulled away from his marker to slot home what proved to be the match winner in the Eastern Region.

The victory has put Istanbul only two points behind their opponent with few games to spare in the country's second-tier League.

Istanbul have amassed 20 points from 10 games with leaders Olympics on 22 points from the same number of games.
