Ismaily President Mohamed Aboul-Seoud has vehemently ruled out a January exit of their sought-after star Ghanaian striker John Antwi.

The 22-year old striker has been in a terrific scoring form this season bagging 11 goals in 13 league appearances for the Dervishes to go top of the scorers' chart.

Antwi is reported to have received a lucrative offer from an unnamed Chinese Super League side.

Egyptian giants Al Ahly have also expressed huge interest in signing the former Eleven Wise player.

But Ismaily have moved to quell all those rumours.

"We had already some offers for Antwi but we can't let him go before finding a replacement. That's unlikely to happen this January," Aboul-Seoud told an Egyptian sports program on Monday.

"I talked with Antwi and we agreed that he will leave if he gets a suitable offer but also when the time is right for us."

Antwi joined Ismaily in December 2012 for US$ 250 000 and won the league’s top scorer prize last season.

He is currently valued at around US$ 1.5m and leads this season’s scorers chart with 12 goals in 14 matches.
