Ghanaian teenage defender Isaac Donkor marked his full Serie A debut for Inter Milan on Sunday afternoon but things turned sour for him as he was red-carded and his Inter Milan side losing the game.

The 19-year-old was booked twice in the game (78th and 92nd minutes) by referee Paolo Valeri and had to leave the game moments before the final whistle.

Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini handed Donkor his debut Serie A start by playing him at right-back - a prove of his versatility.

But things did not go too well for the Kumasi-born defender who is a natural center-back.

Trekking to Sassuolo and losing their previous game, Mancini was hoping for an improved performance from his men and started the young Ghanaian who is captain at the Nerazzuris Primavera side.

He first went into the referee's book on the 78th minute mark for pulling the shirt of a Sassuolo player twelve minutes from time before committing the same offense in added-time.

Donkor had already played twice for Inter Milan in the Serie A but in both games, he came on as late substitutes.

He is eligible to represent Ghana at U20 level.
