Ghana midfielder Isaac Cofie scored his first goal for Genoa on Sunday in their 1-1 draw at Parma in the Serie A.

The 22-year-old, returning from suspension, put Genoa in the lead somewhat against the run of play.

He ran on to a Moussa Konate through ball down the right and drilled across Antonio Mirante from a tight angle.

Cofie was making his 14th Serie A appearance for Genoa this term.

Parma did get their equaliser when a free kick was not cleared effectively and Ezequiel Schelotto hit a missile from 12 yards into the far top corner.

The power was such that Perin did not even have time to move.

Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah played the entire duration for Parma but compatriot Solomon Nyantakyi was on the bench.
