Former Ghana striker Isaac Boakye was among the scorers for Asante Kotoko as they posted a comfortable 3-0 win over First Klass in the MTN FA Cup on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The 32-year-old was marking his official debut for Didi Dramani's side which joining them in December and was the second goal in the 63rd minute as Kotoko dispatched the third-tier side in Kumasi.

Mas-Ud Dramani had Rahim Ayew and Isaac Boakye in his starting line-up for the game and the two players gave good account of themselves in front of home fans in Kumasi.

Kotoko needed more patience and perspicacity to breakdown a stubborn First Klass defensive network and their persistence paid off three minutes before the break as Issah Yakubu scored the opening goal.

After the break, Boakye showed he is still good as he doubled the advantage just after the hour mark before former RTU striker Aminu Mohammed scored the last goal four minutes to full time.
