Inter Milan wunderkind Joseph Alfred Duncan is delighted to be named in the Ghana squad to face Cape Verde in an international friendly.

The 19-year-old has been included in James Kwesi Appiah's 21-man squad to play against AFCON debutants Cape Verde in a warm-up game ahead of January 2013 AFCON.

Duncan, who was pivotal for Inter boss Andrea Stramaccioni in last season's NextGens Series triumph, trained with Ghana's U20 side in June.

The midfielder who combines power and deft is all joy with his debut Ghana call.

"It's great to get a debut Ghana call-up," he told Ghanasoccernet.com.

"Ghana is my country and once the call-up comes it brings joy. I promise to give out my best and impress the coaches.

Duncan has made one appearance for Inter Milan since being promoted to the first team.
