Inkoom agent claims West Ham interest

Posted On Tuesday, 22nd January 2013

Samuel Inkoom could be heading to the Upton Park

English Premier League side West Ham United are interested in signing Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom, according to the player’s agent.

Sam Allardyce, the Hammers manager, has said he would bring in new defenders to reinforce his side and the Dnipro versatile right-back has been linked with the Upton Park side.

Agent Christian Emile who has made claims European champions Chelsea have expressed interest in bringing the former FC Basel defender to the Stamford Brigde has revealed West Ham are interested.

Christian Emile said: “It’s true. Last summer, a Premier League club and Sporting Lisbon did put forward an offer for Inkoom. However, an agreement was not reached.”

He added: “During this window, there has been a lot of interest shown in Samuel across Europe so we are considering things carefully.”

The former Asante Kotoko full-back is searching a way out of the Dnipro Arena as he is yet to make an appearance for the club this season in the Ukrainian Premier League.
