Matthew Amoah signed for Eredivisie side Heerenveen

Ghana striker Matthew Amoah says he is set to return to action for Dutch side Heerenveen after making 90% recovery from a serious injury.

The attacker, who joined the club this summer from Turkey, suffered the hamstring injury during their pre-season test match.

The striker got injured in the final exhibition game this summer an injury to his hamstring, but is now in the final stages of his recovery period.

Amoah suffered the injury in the exhibition game against FC Cologne, a week before the Dutch top-flight started.

After careful medical attention from the club, Amoah says he is getting ready to make his debut for Heerenveen .

“Now I’m almost a hundred percent. Ninety percent, I would say,” said the Ghanaian striker.

“But of course I look forward to my very first match for SC Heerenveen. I came here to play matches.”

The league match against ADO Den Haag next weekend will probably be just too early for Amoah to return to action.
