I'm not under pressure to perform for Ghana, insists Emmanuel Frimpong

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong insists he is not under pressure to make a mark in Ghana colours.

The 21-year-old is expected to make his debut for the Black Stars in Sunday’s World Cup qualifier against Sudan in Kumasi.

The on-loan Arsenal enforcer who switched nationality to play for the West African giants has not hidden his desire to make an impact and contribute his quota to the success of the team.

The Fulham combative midfielder is aware of the passion Ghanaians attach to the Black Stars and insists he will not crumble under the weight of expectations.

“Football is pressure and where ever I have played there is pressure,” Frimpong said

“Hopefully I can take the pressure and see what I can do for Ghana.”

Frimpong has shown great commitment to play for the team after declaring himself fit for the game despite worries over his fitness.

He missed Fulham famous 1-0 win at Tottenham due to a groin injury he picked up at Fulham’s training grounds last week.
