Ghana midfielder Ahmed Barusso says the artificial pitch at his club Novara is the cause of his recent injuries.
The 28-year-old has been out for weeks with a knee injury haven started the season well with the Serie-B side.
But the former Roma player now reveals training on the synthetic pitch appears to be having an adverse effect on his health.
Barusso adds the pitch has the same effect on his Ghanaian teammate Massawudu Alhassan but is hopeful of a quick return.
“It’s been difficult for me the past few weeks now, I had some knee injuries because of the synthetic field here,” he told Radio XYZ.
“So we are off the pitch now and we are hoping next week we will back with the team and things will go well for us.
“Both of us (Alhassan) it is because of the synthetic pitch but we are trying to cope with it.”
Barusso who was part of the Ghana team that won bronze at the 2008b Nations Cup is at the Serie-B club on loan from Genoa.
Barusso, quickly get acquinted to it.I guess you are missing the sakora pitches in Ghana.
In this world two things r to be made; money or excuses, success or failure bt u can’t make both. Baruso can chose between the two. Players sustains injurys even at Wimbley nd Camp Nou so i dnt know what he meant.
