Ghana striker Eric Bekoe has dismissed claims his career was hit by a bad knee injury.
The 27-year-old has failed to realize his huge potential as a clinical finisher due to reported extensive spells on the sidelines through injury.
Bekoe had his contract with Egyptian club Petrojet terminated over speculated concerns with his fitness.
The former Asante Kotoko striker was reported to have sustained a bad knee injury – leading to a sharp decline of his form.
Even his return to the local scene to revive his career with Berekum Chelsea is yet to yield the desired results.
But the former Ghana Premier League top scorer is adamant he has never had a knee injury let alone a bad one that stalled his career.
“People were saying Bekoe has an injury – a knee injury which in my career I have never experienced one before. Which is a knee injury,†he told Radio Gold.
“I had a knock on my shin due to my involvement in the Confederations Cup with Petrojet. And that is all.â€
