Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu
Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu insists he is 100 percent fit for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 22-year-old has been battling injuries the whole of last year.
The Udinese player sustained a knee injury while playing for the Black Stars at the 2012 Nations Cup.
He was again hit with a series of back and hamstring problems after recovering from the knee injury.
The defensive midfielder as a result has not played as many games as he would have hoped for in the Serie-A this season.
This has raised several concerns over his physical status a few days to the start of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
But Agyemang-Badu says he is as fit as on ox and is prepared to help Ghana win its first African title in 31-years at the 2013 AFCON.
“If we are to play the matches today I can assure you I am 100 percent fit and ready to play,” he said.
“It is God that gives health but per fitness, I can tell you I am 100 percent fit.”
Agyemang-Badu wo was part of Ghana’s historic U20 World Cup winning team in 2009 has grown to become a key member of the Black Stars team.
His emergence became even more crucial with the absence of the preferred choice of Michael Essien in recent Ghana games.
