Black Stars defender John Boye is set to earn a silverware for the season as he goes into action for Stade Rennes in the final of France's Coupe de France on Saturday night.

The 27-year-old center-back is likely to start in central defence for the Red and Blacks at the historic Stade de France when they face Guingamp in a quest to end the season with a trophy.

Boye is expected to hold down his place in the Rennes starting line-up as manager Philipe Montanier looks ready to name a strong starting eleven to chase after success in a tricky tie.

The Ghana international defender started the 1-1 home draw against Lorient at the Route de la Lorient last weekend and is in pole position to start and marshal his side's defence as they face an average Guingump strikeforce which has produced just 31 league goals this season.

Boye could become one of the few Ghanaian players who would end the season with trophies if Stade Rennes win tonight.
