How Ghanaian players fared abroad over the weekend

Albert Adomah, Asamoah Gyan and Kwame Amponsah-Karikari were on target for their clubs abroad over the weekend while others put up an impressive performances while some suffered heartbreaking defeats.

ENGLAND

Derek Boateng was not in the Fulham team who lost 4-2 to Manchester City at the Craven Cottage.

Emmanuel Frimpong and Michael Essien will have their clubs engaged in a game on Monday night but players will not play for their respective clubs.

In the Championship, winger Albert Adomah scored on the stroke of full-time for Middlesbrough in their 2-0 win over Millwall.

Bernard Mensah could not get into the Watford first team squad for their 1-1 away draw with Ipswich Town.

Jeffrey Schulpp came off the bench after 78 minutes to play for Leicester City who narrowly beat QPR 1-0 to go on points terms with them.

ITALY

Sulley Muntari was red-carded in second-half stoppage-time while playing for AC Milan in their 1-0 loss to Inter Milan in the city-derby.

Afriyie Acquah played the full 90 minutes for Parma when they held Sampdoria to a 1-1 draw.

Kingsley Boateng was an unused sub by Catania who suffered a 4-0 humiliation at AS Roma.

Kwadwo Asamoah was a full-timer for Juventus in their 4-1 thrashing of Atalanta.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu watched Udinese's 2-1 away win over Livorno from the bench. Alfred Duncan was not in the Livorno team.

Maxwell Acosty warmed the bench for Chievo Verona in their 4-1 away loss to Torino.

Richmond Boakye-Yiadom played 73 minutes for Elche FC in their 1-0 home loss to Malaga.

Elsewhere in the Segunda B, Ishmael Antwi played full time for Atletico Madrid II in their 0-0 draw with Barakaldo.

FRANCE

Jordan Ayew came off the bench to help Olympique Marseille fight from behind to draw 2-2 with Bordeaux.

Jonathan Mensah was in full time action Evian TG in their 3-1 away loss to OG Nice.

Defender John Boye was out of action for Stade Rennes in their 2-1 loss to Sochaux.

TURKEY

Defender Jerry Akaminko played full time for Eski?ehirspor when they beat Gaziantepspor 2-0.

In the Lig 1, striker Kwame Amponsah Karikari scored a brace for Bal?kesirspor when they beat Kahramanmara?spor 3-1.

Emmanuel Banahene played full time but could not score for ?anl?urfaspor when they lost 3-2 to Mersin.

Former AshGold striker Shaibu Yakubu played for 1461 Trabzon who lost 2-3 to ?stanbul BB. Torrick Jebril was not in the Trabzon team.

UAE

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan scored to earn a draw for Al Ain in a 1-1 contest against Al Sharjah.

HOLLAND

Christian Atsu lasted 73 minutes for Vitesse Arnheme when they drew 2-2 with Heracles. Edwin Gyasi and Matthew Amoah lost their places but Kwame Quansah sat on the bench.

Shadragh Eghan played 27 minutes FC Twente in their 1-1 draw with RKC Waalwijk.

Fred Benson played full throttle for PEC Zwolle who lost 3-0 to Feyenoord. Elvis Manu was not picked by Feyenoord.

Johan Kappelhof was at the heart of defence for Groningen in a 5-2 win over NEC.

Memphis Depay set up a goal and lasted 82 minutes for PSV in their 2-0 win over ADO Den Haag.

Kevin-Prince Boateng missed Schalke 04's 0-0 draw at Nurnburg due to injury.

Karim Bellarabi missed Eintracht Braunschweig's 1-0 win over Hoffenheim with injury.
