Dutch-born Ghanaian attacker Elvis Manu inspired Cambuur to a vital 1-1 away draw atà Groningen as he scored a second-half equaliser to help the club move to a mid-table place.Ã
The 20-year-old pecked the scoring for Cambuur in the 77th minute after outrunning his marker and forcing a drive through from inside of the box.
Cambuur had fallen behind five minutes after the break with Tjarron Chery netting for the home side but Manu rose to the occasion and cancelled out the lead 13 minutes from full-time as he elected himself to score from the penalty spot.
Manu has scored four league goals for Cambuur since his switch from giants Feyenoord Rotterdam in January.
Dutch-born defender Johanà Kappelhof who has a Ghanaian parentage also played the entire 90 minutes for Groningen.
