Heracles Almelo president surprised by Quansah snub

Posted On Monday, 26th November 2012

Kwame Quansah has not played for the Black Stars since 2008

Heracles Almelo President has expressed shock at the continuous snub of Kwame Quansah for international call-ups.

The 30-year-old has only two senior caps to his name and last played for the Black during a a friendly against South Africa in 2008.

But after churning out impressive performances for the Dutch Eridivise side over the past eight years, club club’s chief is surprised he has been overlooked by the technical handlers of the West African giants.

““It is very strange and a shame that a good player like Quansah is not part of his country’s national team, he is very good and one always wonders why Ghana don’t call him,” Smith said.

The box-to-box midfielder was honoured for making 250 league appearances for the club in the Eredivisie last week.

REALLY, WHO HAS SEEN HIM PLAY? HOW GOOD IS THIS GUY? WE DONT NEED MEDIOCRE PLAYERS. WE HAVE TOO MANY OF THEM IN PAINSTIL, AIYIAH, INKOOM, JORDAN AYEW AND DEREK BOATENG….LOL

  5. Saha says:

If the guy is good they should call him and stop mentioning stupid players like Adyia and Derek Boateng. where were those players when Zambia keep scoring Ghana?
we need players who can die for Ghana not players who always come to show wealthies and hair styles. Jordan Ayew Derek Boateng should not play for Ghana. they are not good lads.
