The 32-year-old, a free agent, agreed personal terms with the club, passed medicals on Friday and signed the deal which will keep him at the club for the entire 2013/14 season and has been handed the number 9 jersey.
He joins Ghanaian midfielder Kwame Quansah who is the deputy captain of the club.
Amoah was the most impressive striker in Holland during the pre-season with NAC Breda where he scored an abundant number of goals (18 in 6 games).
But Breda were unprepared to offer a deal to mark his return to the Rat Verlegh Stadionà where he scored over 45 goals in 103 games or so for the club.
Heracles à scouts watched the experienced goal poacher and recommended managerà Jan de Jonge hand him a deal at the club.
