Hearts of Oak board member Frank Nelson insists the club will move on with or without their main transfer target Ahmed Toure.

The Ivorian striker appears to have swerved the Phobians and is now on the verge of sealing a sensational returned to Asante Kotoko.

Toure was gathered from his base in Ivory Coast by the group of staunch Kotoko supporters and brought to Kumasi where he is expected to seal his return to the club today.

The 27-year-old had however been in advanced talks to join Hearts of Oak following his cameo heroics in the GHALCA Top 4 tournament where he scored on his debut for the Phobians in the game against AshGold.

Pundits believe Toure used the opportunity offered by Hearts to launch himself back into the limelight – a tactic which has proved extremely effective as clubs jostle to secure his services.

But Frank Nelson who was at the forefront of Hearts’ charge to secure the ex Lokeren player despite appealing to the conscience of the Ivorian striker says the club will move on without him.

“I told him that if ‘you want happiness then this is the right club for you’,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“He will feel loved at this club. I don’t know about his past but then we are determined to make him happy here.

“But then if we don’t get him Accra Hearts of Oak will still move on.

“Hearts doesn’t start and end with Ahmed Toure. There is life after Toure.”
