Irate supporters attempted to attack Metro TV commentator, Nana Kwaku Agyemang for comments made over the wrongful penalty awarded Hearts of Oak in their 3-0 win over All Stars on Sunday.

The dread-locked haired TV personality needed police protection to neutralize the simmering danger on his way back to commentary position after holding halftime pitch-side analysis with host Michael Katahena.

Agyemang reaffirmed his position on the obvious harsh penalty awarded the home side in the 32nd minute after Uriah Asante appeared to have slipped while making a surge towards the All Stars goal.

Television replays indeed showed the decision taken by referee Reginald Larthbridge was a horrendous mistake of which Nana Agyemang alluded to.

An angry mob of Hearts supporters had however converged at the inner perimeter's entry point awaiting to vent their fury on Agyemang after holding his pitch-side's session - prompting an intervention by the police.

He was later escorted to his car and out of the stadium after the angry gathering had dissipated, abandoning second half commentary in the process.

This is the second time Agyemang had suffered such attacks this season following a scuffle between the Metero TV crew and Asante Kotoko supporters last year in their win over Berekum Chelsea, a case which is still pending before the Ghana FA's Disciplinary Committee.
