Obed Andah will miss Hearts of Oak’s season opener at New Edubiase with a recurrent groin injury.
The 26-year-old was expected to be the main anchorman in the midfield of the Phobnians this term following his strong finish to last season.
Doctors however after a thorough assessment have ruled the midfielder out with a troublesome groin injury.
Ansah is now definitely out of the season opener this Sunday away to New Edubiase.
It is however unclear whether the experienced playmaker will be available for Hearts’ crucial second Premier League match against rivals Asante Kotoko.
The midfielder it will be recalled was at his dazzling best against the Premier League champions in last season’s clash in Accra despite playing at half fitness.
His absence will therefore serve a massive blow to the Phobians who are chasing a great start to their campaign in their bid to dethrone Kotoko as champions of Ghana.
